SmaXtec is actively hiring a Key Account Manager – Midwest to join its team. The ideal candidate will be within 100 miles of Appleton, Madison, or Fond Du Lac, WI.
As the Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for representing smaXtec at key industry and customer meetings and to demonstrate smaXtec’s emerging leadership in the preventative health management through cow monitoring space.
SmaXtec strives to establish a new standard of sustainability in the industry through proactive health, reproduction, and feeding management of dairy cows.

Job Responsibilities:
- Identify business, technical, financial, and personal needs within the operations to propose solutions for increased production, animal welfare, and efficiency
- Work with customers on a collaborative vision, coordinate internal and external team to design customized solutions
- Identify emerging needs and trends for Key Accounts, relay potential areas of added value for evaluation by the development team
- Work with internal teams to continuously develop and improve implementation and after-sales support plans to capture the most value for smaXtec and for customers. Provide excellent customer experiences by leveraging resources across teams
Requirements:
- Bachelors or master’s degree preferred, but not required
- 7+ years’ experience in Key Account Management/Sales in the US Dairy Industry preferably in nutrition
or animal health, herd management, or dairy nutrition consulting
- Have a deep understanding of the dairy industry, the key players, and technical needs as well as industry economics and the factors that affect margins across US producers
- Profound knowledge of the day-to-day operations of high-volume dairies and their regional differences
- Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Willingness to travel
