Your Role at KIK
This role is responsible for activities associated with the smooth, efficient function of packaging quality finished goods in appropriate cartons or displays as per quality specifications to meet customer needs within a timely and cost-effective manner. Generally, this position fills in areas where extra workload occurs.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Packages quality products on the line meeting 100% quality product goals daily.
- Ensure that the bottle meets quality specifications (i.e., labels centered without defects, and all have cap or sprayer closures.)
- Ensure cartons meet quality specifications (i.e., print is legible and upright).
- Ensure pads meet quality specifications (i.e., are place in carton correctly).
- When line is down, performs product repair on above items they previously rejected.
- Ensures that appropriate number of cases are stacked on pallet to meet quality specifications.
- Assembles all boxes necessary to place bottles in as per quality requirements.
- Keeps production area clean of debris by placing scrap in appropriated designated recycling containers.
- Turns in a daily component usage sheet to quality.
- Performs all aspects of the position and operates all equipment in a safe manner.
- Works safely within plant safety standards.
- Keeps production area clean of debris placing scrap bottles, cartons, or pads in designated recycling containers.
- Assists in training of new employees in the department.
- Assists with any lean manufacturing process in the department.
- Sweeps work area and cleans machinery during downtime or at the end of the shift.
Performs other duties that may be assigned by supervisor or line leader.

What You’ll Bring
- Diploma or G.E.D
- Previous manufacturing/packaging experience in an industrial environment
- Must be capable of following written and verbal instructions. Ability to read and write.
- Must be able to exercise judgment in determining work sequence and in selecting proper material.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide.
- Must be capable to follow established methods and procedures.
Must be able to perform, but not limited to the following operations necessary to control activated production lines.
