POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the Child Care Services Branch, ensuring that all centers are providing high-quality child care programs that meet or exceed our community's needs. Identify opportunities and work with the CEO to grow the Child Care Services Branch.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to Child Care Directors and their respective Child Care Center teams.

Ensure that all Child Care Centers comply with state guidelines, recognized safety measures, and quality measurement tools, as well as all contractual obligations with participating school districts.

Lead child abuse awareness and prevention initiatives across the Child Care Branch and MEWSA Association.

Identify and develop opportunities for staff growth and advancement within the Child Care Services Branch.

Review and approve all new hires made within the Child Care Services Branch.

Ensure that curriculum expectations are met or exceeded across the Child Care Services Branch.

Collaborate closely with directors to provide high-quality training and professional development for staff.

Collaborate closely with the President and CEO to develop and engage a Child Care Services Branch Board that reports to the MEWSA Board of Directors

Work closely with association peers to ensure consistent Child Care services are provided and are standard throughout the Branch.

Develop and cultivate relationships with local colleges and universities to establish a strong partnership for teacher education programs.

Collaborate with local organizations to further develop community services that support premium Child Care for children and their families.

Attend professional conferences and/or workshops as requested by the President and CEO.
REQUIREMENTS:

A BA/BS Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with NJ Certification in Early Childhood Education.

Experience with creating and managing a Child Care Center budget.

Eight or more years of supervisory experience with at least five years administrative/management experience.

Ability to design, implement, supervise, and evaluate educational and similar supportive programs.

Must have the ability to incorporate the Strategic Plan into the Child Care Services Branch, delivering and evidencing measurable outcomes.

Must have an excellent driving record and the ability to manage own transportation from one Child Care Center location to another.
PHYSICAL REQURIEMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal daily amounts of walking, standing, sitting, running, jumping, lifting, pushing, pulling, speaking, reading, and writing to maintain an effective Child Care environment. Must be able to hear, see and respond quickly to the needs of children in our care.
