**Job Description: ** Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join the finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-term care and will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support our organization’s growth and stability.
**Key Responsibilities: ** - Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and financial forecasts. - Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations. - Manage and coordinate all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. - Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance. - Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements. - Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies and goals. - Oversee the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors. - Provide leadership and support to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
**Qualifications: ** - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, with at least 3 years in the long-term care industry. - In-depth knowledge of long-term care financial regulations, reimbursement processes, and industry-specific accounting practices. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization. - High level of integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices.
