About Us: We are a growing CPA firm based in Gilbert, AZ, providing a range of accounting and financial services to our clients. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time, independent contractor basis.
Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper to manage various accounting tasks for our clients. This is a virtual position, and candidates preferrably will be based in the Phoenix area. The number of hours will vary based on workload and performance, with no guaranteed minimum hours. However, there is great anticipation for growth should the individual want more work, as they are joining an existing team.
Candidates must have their own computer and home office setup.
Responsibilities:
- Match transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) bank register to invoices or payments received
- Maintain and update financial records
- Reconcile bank statements
- Prepare financial reports
- Perform general bookkeeping tasks
- Ability to book journal entries as part of quarter end or year end preparation strongly desired
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable internet connection and home office setup
