We are seeking a part-time contractual Behavioral Health Therapist (Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor) to become a part of our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical services to patients and their families in-office and via telehealth.
- Counsel and provide crisis intervention for patients, including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems.
- Evaluate patients’ conditions to determine the level of care and assistance they need.
- Retrieve patients’ personal and social health history to determine their conditions.
- Develop and nurture mutual relationship and confidence with patients.
- Coach patients on how to manage ongoing health conditions and provides therapy to help patients make positive behavior changes.
- Participate in consultation to coordinate services.
- Knowledgeable of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5th Edition TR
- Complete individual and group progress notes, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews/recerts, and weekly progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely fashion.
- Attend monthly departmental meeting in person or via Zoom. Also attend the four (4) agency-wide meetings in person per year.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an Accredited University or College.
- Licensed LCSW or LPC in the State of Texas.
- Counseling Experience – Minimum 2-year paid experience in behavioral health science field.
- Experience working in primary care or family practice setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detailed oriented and organized.
- Self- motivated, ability to work independently.
- Strong professional ethics and boundaries
- Experience and competence across various capacities of counseling (relational, emotional, traumatic)
- Bilingual (Eng/Spn), a plus
Working Conditions:
- Willing to travel to Greenspoint and Bellaire Health Centers
