The
Operations Coordinator I is responsible for the daily operations of the assigned facility while providing direction and integrative coordination in the planning, development, and implementation of a comprehensive Operations Center program.
Essential Functions:

Perform staff supervision responsibilities within the Operations Center including training, evaluation, schedule adherence, etc.

Collaborate with the management to sustain, promote, and grow site operations departmental programs and services

Develop, maintain, and enact foundational emergency management plans, processes, and procedures for the site operations center

Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) with a focus on emergency incident response/management and operations continuity

Respond to emergencies and/or critical incidents onsite and remotely

Prioritize operational issues as the real-time point of contact and implement creative solutions to solve problems as they arise

Resolving grievances and workplace issues to maintain and enhance a positive working environment

Serve as Operations Center tactical support liaison during emergency or program-impacting events at the site; adhering to established FEMA-certified Incident Command System (ICS) protocols during business continuity and disaster recovery efforts

Ensure compliance with program, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations

Knowledge and Skills:

Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, methods, and techniques within emergency operations

Advanced verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

Ability to analyze and interpret complex operational data and prepare business reports, projections, and recommendations

Ability to foster a cooperative work environment within a complex partnership and organizational structure

Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments

Employee development and performance management skills

Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365
Education and Experience:
-
Associate's degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree
-
3+ years of prior experience in operations in an administrative or coordinator role with increased responsibilities
-
Experience with Incident Command System (ICS) protocol
-
Must obtain and maintain a federal Tier 2 Security Clearance and Texas State Child Abuse/Neglect database check

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
-
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
-
Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)

Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and a background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment
