Job description
We are looking for an experienced or rising Senior Tax Associate motivated to continue to expand on their current tax knowledge and join our tax team. For more than 50 years Caras & Shulman, PC has provided privately-owned companies and their owners with a full-range of uncompromising professional consulting, accounting, and tax services in a variety of industries.

Responsibilities
· Prepare and review federal and state income tax compliance
· Prepare and review annual corporate and individual income tax projections
· Assist in the development and training of associate level staff
· Assist in the resolution of federal, state and local tax notices and audits
· Perform research and other special projects as necessary
· Develop knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to job duties
· Communicate effectively with both internal team members and clients
· Perform other duties as assigned by management
· Overtime required January 1‐April 15
Qualifications
· 2-5 years of experience within a public accounting firm
· CPA certification or working towards certification preferred
· Proven demonstration of tax compliance and/or consulting experience, including preparation and review, across a broad range of entity types
· Proficiency with ProSystem fx or similar tax software
· Must be able to effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines
· Strong analytical, organizational and written and verbal communications skills

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
