Summary:
This is a key position in the Test Department, which requires professional work ethics, dedication, proper attitude, and self- motivation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and development of test fixtures and systems to meet customer requirements
- Develop test plans to support engineering development efforts
- Incorporating design changes on work in process or completed assemblies; documenting and dispositioning hardware discrepancies and pursuing root cause and corrective actions.
- Problem solving not only for technical issues, but also for schedule, cost resource and other project challenges.
- Mentoring and cross-training team members across a diverse set of technologies and equipment architectures used to meet customer requirements.
- Knowledgeable with the use of basic test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, and electronic loads.
- Troubleshoot using a systematic approach and repair electronic components, printed circuit board assemblies, hybrid circuits, equipment, and systems.
- This job has no personnel supervisory responsibilities.
- Any other relevant duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or equivalent is required.
- Must have 5 years of Electronic Design Experience.
- Self-management of personal workload is important, as multi-tasking and meeting goals is a constant requirement.
- Willing to do what is needed in order to elevate the success of the company.
- Experience working with microcontrollers in performing board level debugging.
- Experience with Eagle, Altium, or Solidworks design environment is a plus.
- Experience writing assembly and/or C code for microcontrollers or in a FPGA development is a plus.
- Position requires proficiency in writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Must have hands on experience with tools like MATLAB, LabVIEW, etc. is highly desirable.
Work Environment:
The work environment is typical of a manufacturing setting where hazardous materials may be present. Security investigations may be conducted to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and/or work areas.
