We are seeking a talented and experienced GIS Developer to join our team. This role involves evaluating, analyzing, designing, and developing various GIS services, applications, and tools to meet organizational needs. The ideal candidate will be proficient in designing, programming, and maintaining GIS software and possess a deep understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support business processes and maintenance activities.
This position involves evaluating, analyzing, designing, and developing a range of GIS services, programs, applications, tools, databases, layers, shapefiles, and graphic images. The role includes designing, programming, and maintaining GIS software to meet organizational needs, and requires a comprehensive understanding of GIS applications to support business needs, project processes, and maintenance activities. Responsibilities include developing various applications, such as GPS surveys, dashboards, websites, and enterprise-level experiences, as well as serving as project manager for GIS-related projects. The role also entails providing cartographic analysis, offering technical support for GIS programs, maintaining and troubleshooting existing systems, and upgrading software as needed. Additional duties encompass project development, management, budgeting, and supporting the GIS Manager with technical, supervisory, and professional tasks in server administration. This includes designing and managing both spatial and non-spatial databases, creating and maintaining GIS software applications and programs, and overseeing the development of web-based mapping applications for all departments. The position also involves designing and providing recommendations for software and hardware architecture and database design for GIS-based applications, and troubleshooting system problems related to the functioning of mapping systems.
