Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for liaising with and consolidation of our Europe and Asian operations, VAT filing and accounting, account analysis, expense reporting. You will serve on process improvement, ERP systems, and cross functional problem-solving teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Develop expertise with the ERP system; to include a solid understanding of system flows and interfaces.
- Perform month end closing activities.
- Balancing of inter- and intra- company transactions.
- Liaise with and manage accounting in the EU and Asian operations.
- Analyze and consolidate EU and Asian operations ledger.
- Manage expenses related to European marketing efforts.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of company credit cards.
- Responsible for accurate product costing of FGI and COGS.
- Review and manage the allocation of manufacturing overheads and direct costs to FGI.
- Assist with establishing foreign subsidiaries as required.
- Perform analysis of and account reconciliation for several high-volume G/L accounts.
- Develop positive relationships with internal customers.
- Serve on systems improvement/implementation teams as required.
- Assist with monthly management reporting package.
- Assist with variance analysis.
Education and Experience
BS in Accounting and total 7+ years as accounting/finance professional with 3-4 years in financial analysis; or equal combination of education and experience. Experience to include the use of ERP applications. Strong analytical skills, detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel & Access).
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to analyze and conceptualize effects on products and G/L accounts in a multi-entity, environment, prior to transactions taking place.
- Customer focus/approach to work.
- Strong organization skills, leadership, commitment to the team, creative problem solver.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain positive work relationships.
- Ability to work with people of varying backgrounds/cultures in other countries, to manage heavy workload and set priorities aligned with business goals, outstanding leadership skills with the ability to energize others.
- Desire to make meaningful contributions to the overall health of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA
- Experience in product costing and inventory control
- SOX (J-SOX) experience
- Accounting experience with foreign countries

This position has no direct reports.
