Overall Focus: To ensure the continuous operation of the production facility by maintaining, trouble shooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment and facilities.
Pay: Based on experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facilities
· Troubleshoots machines or equipment, replaces defective parts, and motors and adjusts equipment as necessary
· Diagnoses unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with operators and other maintenance workers to correct problem or repair machine
· Performs electrical troubleshooting
· Reads and interprets blueprints, program listings, schematics, and mechanical and wiring diagrams
· Wires electrical motors
· Proactive in detecting and correcting machine performance problems
· Performs all preventative and scheduled maintenance as assigned
· Cleans and lubricates machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears and bearings or repairs machine belts and drive chain systems
· Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Ensures that all safety devices are installed and operational.
· Installs equipment and completes projects as assigned
· Ensures that work is completed according to schedule
· Follow all lock out/tag out procedures
· Ensures that all SOP’s are being followed and informs Maintenance Manager, QA Manager, or Production Supervisor of any food safety problems.
· Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and job instructions and take corrective actions when measures are beyond specification.
· Follow all GMP’s and keep process areas clean and neat
· Accesses needed parts and tracks what is used according to established methods
· Maintain constant communication with Manager, Shift Supervisor, operators, and other maintenance personnel.
· Be able to work a 12-hour shift (6PM-6AM) and be able to work overtime when required by business needs.
· And any other safe duties as required, in order to meet business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:
· High School diploma or GED
· A two-year technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred, but not required.
· Ability to speak, write, and understand English.
· HVAC experience preferred, but not required.
Experience:
· Two years’ experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment and working with automated systems in a production facility

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to climb ladders and perform tasks on a ladder or at heights
- Ability to maneuver in tight spaces
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
- Push/Pull up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis
- Able to work in extreme temperature conditions (very hot or very cold)
- Able to walk and stand on hard surfaces for long periods of time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
