Job Description: Director of Excitement
Department: Administrative
Reports to: Administrator, Authorized Representative, & Board of Directors
Description of Position:
In charge of planning daily activities to meet ALL resident needs in a residential care setting. Must take each individual resident's likes and dislikes into consideration. Conducts Activities assessments and creates an enriching life experience for everyone who lives at Laurel Oaks of South Haven.
Must be community oriented and organized and truly love working with the geriatric population.
Experience in activity planning with the geriatric population is a must.
Responsibilities include:
1. Monthly activity calendars that meet the psychosocial needs of the residents.
2. Tracking who attends activities
3. Activity Assessments
4. Holds monthly resident meetings and reports back to administration; keeps meeting minutes and inquires on residents wants/needs
5. Makes sure planned activities are organized and supplies are on-site.
6. Ensures an exciting and stimulating environment and encourages community involvement.
7. Plans individual activity to support all resident needs, especially those in the memory care
8. Energetic and outgoing
