Position Summary:
The Process Improvement Engineer drives continuous improvement and eliminates waste and inefficiencies while enhancing the experience for our employees and our Members. Working within the continuous improvement framework, develops and leads the execution of the continuous improvement strategy and roadmap to drive operational excellence throughout the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identifies, develops, and implements process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, productivity, and quality across the enterprise.
- Develops and implements new processes or redesigns existing ones to meet specific objectives.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets data to make informed decisions regarding process improvements and cost reduction strategies.
- Applies Six Sigma principles to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control processes, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Develops and implements strategies to reduce costs while maintaining high-quality services and products.
- Identifies and makes efforts to eliminate friction in both employee workflows and customer interactions to enhance overall satisfaction.
- Implements solutions that enable the organization to scale effectively while maintaining efficiency.
- Collaborates with various departments to identify and address improvement opportunities across the organization.
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by providing training and guidance to teams and encouraging innovative thinking.
- Utilizes Agile and Six Sigma methodologies to analyze processes, identify bottlenecks and eliminate waste.
- Implements Agile principles, conducts regular data analysis, performance monitoring, and root cause analysis to identify trends, patterns, opportunities of improvement, and successes.
- Drives change management initiatives, including communications, stakeholder engagement, and overcoming resistance to change.
- Develops and maintains key performance indicators to monitor progress, track improvements, and report on the success of initiatives.
- Stays abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in continuous improvement and leverages them to drive innovation and market advantage.
- Uses Agile framework, develops test strategies, protocols, and plans to verify and validate products, processes or systems based on specifications and standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field and/or equivalent mix of education and experience is required. A master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Licensure or Certification:
- Certified Six Sigma Black Belt with a strong understanding of Six Sigma Methodology
- Agile certification or demonstrated education and experience is preferred.
Experience:
- 5 –10 or more years of proven and progressive experience in a continuous improvement role is required of which at least 3 years as a Black Belt is required. At least 3 black belt projects completed preferred.
- Previous continuous improvement experience in the financial services industry or a financial institution is preferred.
- A track record of successful process improvement initiatives in an Agile is required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Our company offers a dynamic hybrid work arrangement, which requires three days on-site, in the Sugar Land, TX office. Our retail roles are required to be onsite at the branch locations.
