We are searching for a Sales Director - Eastern US for our ErectaStep business. The right candidate thrives in an entrepreneurial growth-minded environment. This role can be based in an individual’s home office if they have access to a major metropolitan airport.
Position Summary:
Leads an ErectaStep Sales Team to drive sales growth through distributors for the eastern US. Establishes growth plans and strategies to select the right distributors and enable them to increase their sales of ErectaStep brand products. Reports to SixAxis Chief Commercial Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises ErectaStep Regional Area Sales Managers (RAMs) including developing business strategies, training, goal setting, performance management, coaching, etc.

Coordinates sales plans by establishing RAM sales territories and sales goals.

Works closely with Commercial leadership, Engineering, and Operations on large projects by coordinating communications and organizing/participating in project meetings.
- Analyzes competitor activities and assesses opportunities for business development.

Drives to exceed revenue targets and KPl ‘s as set by the Chief Commercial Officer

Networks with distributors and other businesses across the territory and builds mutually beneficial relationships.
- Determines price schedules and discount rates.

Prepares budgets and approves budget expenditures.

Collaborates with Marketing team to plan marketing services and efforts.
- Provides reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

Understands industry specific trends and landscapes.

Requirements
-
5+ years people leadership experience in an Industrial B2B sales environment.
- 10+ years’ experience in Industrial Sales to distributors or distribution channel experience in related industries preferred.

Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine effective solutions for internal and external customers.

Proven track record of building business and hitting sales targets.

Demonstrated success in understanding customer/market dynamics and requirements.

Excellent people skills and ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.

Results oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Excellent time management skills and CRM experience preferred.

Ability to travel overnight 50%+ as required by role and territory.

Ability to master use of product configurator software.

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
