Summary/Objective
This position serves as the primary day-to-day safety contact at one or more locations. The Safety Administrator provides frontline safety prevention and support to employees at all levels. They ensure both employees and management are equipped to operate in a safe manner at all times.
Essential Duties and Functions

Ensures all personnel within the designated territory are equipped and trained to operate in a safe manner. Facilitates and conducts safety training on an ongoing basis. Monitors and manages safety equipment/personal protective equipment (PPE) inventory and utilization. Provides driver training, safety orientations, and ongoing preventative/awareness safety education to all personnel. Implements critical safety training such as Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP), Violence Prevention, and evacuation training.- Performs preventative, near-miss, and post-incident safety hazard assessments/investigations both in the field and within the office. Identifies root causes and causal factors. Implements corrective action plans and makes formal and informal recommendations to improve safety. Provides regular reports on compliance and safe and unsafe practices to management. Utilizes reports, analytics, and trends to inform the business of safety gaps/risks. Recommends improvements to safety practices and policies.
- Serves as the site-level accident and injury response point person. Coordinates treatment, post-accident testing, and both immediate and long-term claim management. Monitors claim status on an ongoing basis and provide updates to Management. Communicates claim status and other critical information across all organizational levels. Collaborates with local site personnel and national partners to enhance safety prevention and employee experience.
- Ensures compliance with all Safety programs, policies, and external safety standards (OSHA, etc.). Maintains working knowledge of trends and developments in safety, compliance, and overall company-wide safety strategy.

Required Education and Experience
- Education and/or experience equivalent to 1+ years of experience as a primary site-level safety person. 3+ years of experience handling reporting/sensitive data to applicable parties.
- 1+ years of experience dealing with dispatched field employees, ideally in HVAC and/or Construction environments.
- Familiar with OSHA standards and practices including Accident Investigation, Hazard Identification, etc.

Customer-focused, with an emphasis on the quality of the customer experience and a “can-do” attitude. Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Math: Able to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using standard units of measure and weight.
- Reasoning: Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Able to follow instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations with only general supervision.
- Technology: Proficient with word processing/data entry, spreadsheets, the Internet, and email. Able to use Microsoft Office at a moderate level. Previous experience with Safety Management Systems or similar safety-based technology and/or ADP Workforce Now preferred.
Work Environment
The physical environment requires this employee to work in an office, warehouse, customer location, and frequently outdoors. The employee is frequently required to use and promote the use of personal protective equipment to prevent injury. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc., and must be capable of demonstrating and teaching safety practices with safety equipment in both office and field-based environments. Based on the supported brands/divisions, periodic overnight or day trip travel and the ability to tour worksites will be necessary for this position.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, drive, and use hands and fingers. The employee is occasionally required to reach, stoop and kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also be capable of operating a vehicle for a sustained period of time.
