Summary
The Project Cost Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in analyzing project and product costs/financial data, improving operational efficiency, and providing valuable insights to the company's leadership team. The Project Cost Accountant’s primary responsibility is to support the project/product teams regarding costs, contract modifications, compliance, invoicing, reports and any other duties related to the project. The role will report to the Director of Accounting, Consolidations and Reporting.
Job Responsibilities and tasks

Manage month-end and year-end closing for all projects and product equipment related processes.

Compliance with applicable inventory related SOX controls including WIP reviews and analysis, labor analysis, etc.

Attend project management/operations meetings to understand operations and provide accounting guidance.

Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required by senior management.

Manage cost accountants located in various regions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Handle communication with colleagues and business leaders about change of policy and implementation.

Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in accounting from an accredited university or college; CPA preferred.

Minimum of seven years of experience as a cost accountant; Manufacturing experience preferred.

SAP/Power BI experience a plus.
