We are looking for an accountable Project Manager to be responsible for all aspects of the construction project, from preconstruction to closeout, as well as collaborating with Project Superintendents in daily activities on commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Management of public and private Contracts
- Interface with owners, architects, engineers, city and other governmental agencies and consultants on construction projects
- Review plans and specifications for constructability, planning and scheduling
- Work with Estimators and Superintendents to check bids for completeness and compliance with the construction plans and specifications
- Organize and execute project game plan and revise appropriately to meet changing needs and requirements with Project Superintendent
- Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
- Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
- Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards
- Manage Change Orders, Payment Applications, Submittals and RFI's
- Minimizes exposure and risk on project contracts
- Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored correctly
- Ensure that project close-out is complete and timely
Skills
- 5+ years in Commercial Construction Project Management
- BS degree in Construction Management or relevant field preferred
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office and Project
- Familiarity with Public Works and DSA projects
- Ability to prioritize task and complete work efficiently, independently, and collaboratively
- Able to lead and motivate the project team
- Self-motivated with attention to detail and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong organizational skills
Candidate must have a valid Driver’s License and may be required to travel to various projects throughout the area. Candidate must be able to work on school campuses.
