Provide Customer Service
The Gas Station Cashier must ensure satisfactory customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with any needs or questions. They’re often called upon to help locate or recommend product.
Operate Register
In order to accept customer payments, the Gas Station Cashier must operate the register as well as the credit card machines. They may be asked to prepare cash for daily deposits and will also have to maintain the register balance.
Collect money from patrons at a gas station.
Dispense change.
Dispense lottery tickets.
Provide customers with receipts.
Charge purchases to customers' credit cards.
Verify age of customer if they are purchasing alcohol or cigarettes.
Answer questions and provide directions if needed.
Sell food and grocery items.
Sell prepared food, including deli sandwiches, pizza, hotdogs, and pretzels.
Count money in cash drawers.
Operate price scanners.
Sweep and mop floors.
Call police to report suspicious activity in and around gas station.

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
