Summary/Objective
Tamarind Reef Resort and Marina, Inc. is currently seeking an individual with experience in leadership to join our resort operations management team. Applicants are expected to be an experience and ability to oversee the daily operations of a hotel, ensuring efficient management, and providing strategic direction. They are in charge of supervising staff, customer service, overseeing food/beverage and event activities and contracts, managing budgets, implementing marketing strategies, group/corp sales and maintaining compliance with laws and guidelines. We are also looking for an individual who is responsible and reliable, and willing to consistently contributing to making our resort a better place to stay, visit, and work.
Hotel Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ability to help cultivate and develop strong positive relations among all staff.
· Responsible for overseeing the successful operations to ensure guest satisfaction and enhance the facility’s reputation among travelers.
· Implement all Inventory, Maintenance, Housekeeping and Guest Services initiatives, policies and procedures, and provide training and oversight on same.
o Cultivate training and development programs.
o Develop and maintain a high standard of excellence within the staff while promoting teamwork.
· Become well knowledgeable with all aspects of the Resort and the island of St. Croix in order to address customers inquiries who are new to the island and/or Resort.
· Promptly respond to both internal and external customer inquiries or concerns with a sense of urgency.
· Execute performance evaluation processes and work to the financial and reputational success of the resort and hotel.
· Administrative duties, including approval of employee time off requests submissions, staff planning and scheduling and timecard review prior to submitting to Payroll.
· Composure and confidentiality required to handle disciplinary issues.
· Ability to stay current on understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures.
· Perform daily reservations audit to validate all data fields for future, present or past reservations are correct in reservation software, applications and make any necessary change(s) as needed. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
· Work consistent regular hours and the ability to adjust personal schedule to meet the needs of the operation and guests.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has direct reports from Housekeeping, Guest Services and Food and Beverage leases and staff.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is potentially exposed to odors, dust, cleaning and laundry chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands
Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, climbing stairs frequently, and regularly inspect rooms and facilities.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
· A minimum of a high school diploma or GED required. A bachelor's degree is preferred with a concentration in management or hospitality preferred.
· A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.
· Experience with hotel and reservation management software application is preferred.
· Strong math aptitude.
· Strong customer interaction with an exceptional delivery for the best guest experience.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
