REQUIREMENTS:
Under the direction of authorized administrators shall:

Provide direct and consultative therapeutic and evaluative services for the diagnostic, preventative and interventive purposes in the school setting.
- Conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments. Develop/assist with individual behavior management programs for students in the classroom setting.

Provide program/individual staff consultation on design/implementation of BIPs.
- Provide program/individual staff consultation on development/implementation of Discrete Trials curriculum.
- Schedule and document provision of services to students, as outlined on IEPs Maintain daily intervention notes. Provide guidance for and indirect monitoring of staff entries in daily intervention notes.

Knowledge of best practices and laws governing students with disabilities; skill in communicating assessment results both orally and in writing; interpersonal communication, consultation, and skills necessary to work effectively with students, parents, teachers and administrators.

Provide support and training in the area of behavioral intervention.

Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the building principal or the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee.
REPORTS TO:
Special Education Supervisor and Administrator of Special Education and Student Support Services.
Terms of employment and salary will be established through individual employment agreement.
Performance on this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Westfield School Committee policy on evaluation.
This position subject to grant funding.
