Aphinia is a community of 2,000+ senior executives in North America. We host virtual events (interviews, webinars and roundtables) and IRL events (member dinners and retreats), and we need your help in organizing, managing and coordinating these efforts.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Community & Events Manager to oversee and organize events that will make an impact on our members and clients. Ideally you will have 3+ years of experience of managing B2B communities and running events and programs with a passion for connecting with people in a community-led framework.
Further, as the Community & Events Manager, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a vibrant and engaged community around Aphinia brand.
Duties:
- Plan, organize, and execute various events such as corporate meetings, dinners, retreats, mini-conferences and virtual events.
- Organize, run and host events, both virtual and in-person including live shows, webinars, workshops, sponsored events, customer events and networking events
- Create an event & webinar calendar, including promotion plan, production workbacks, stakeholder alignment and measurements of success
- Coordinate with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and venues to secure the best deals
- Manage event budgets effectively and ensure all expenses stay within the set budget
- Manage audience outreach to attract attendees and ensure a successful turnout
- Oversee all aspects of event logistics including catering, decorations, and technical aspects
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors throughout the event planning process.
What we’re looking for
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B Community & Events
- Higher education (e.g. Bachelor’s degree) in Business, Marketing or related fields
- Experience in planning, executing and reporting on the success of B2B events
- Proficient in project management skills and tools.
- Extreme attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
$45,000 - $57,000 a year The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, location and experience.
