Location: Salinas, California
The Role: We are seeking an employee to oversee and manage the Western Sales for PlantTape USA. With a proven record of expansion, this person will be responsible for the overall sales success of the Western territory. This employee will drive sales by creating and implementing action plans, prioritizing and planning for improvements, and increasing PlantTape brand recognition.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Comprehensive understanding of the Western vegetable and transplant market to inform business direction and decisions
- Aggressive targeting of new markets and driving of current markets to increase sales volume
- Manage Western sales team and sales operations
- Develop and mentor sales representatives within organization
- Willing to bring new ideas and structure into the sales force
- Specialize in Customer Relationship Management to identify key targets and sales prospects
- Lead salesforce in moving targets and prospects through the workflow process to established customers
- Create and implement action plans and ensure plans are executed with sales team
- Maintain and improve customer relationships with clear and constant communication with Western customer base
- Prioritize various sales projects and targets based on volume, risk, difficulty and timeline
- Manage database of current Western targets and customers to streamline them through the workflow process
- Create and manage schedule of Western PlantTape trials, plantings, tradeshows, showcases and relevant sales events
- Attend weekly sales meeting and direct discussion for Western business
- Attend bi-weekly marketing meeting and work directly with marketing team to organize and orchestrate new product launches, tradeshows, showcases and relevant sales events in the Western territory
- Create, implement and direct Western business model, marketing and business strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of related experience
- Must have strong communication and organizational skills and have great attention to detail
- Self-motivated, self-starter, goal driven with a can-do attitude
- Promotes a positive Company image, and supports PlantTape efforts
- Travel and afterhours work required
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Ability to travel internationally (passport required)
Physical Demands
- Employee is regularly required to sit, walk and stand
- Employee must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs
- This employee works in indoor as well as outdoor environment subject to moving mechanical parts
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
