Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans as directed by the physical therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Collaborate with the physical therapy team to ensure optimal patient care
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- State licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Experience in orthopedic therapy preferred
- Strong anatomy and physiology knowledge
- Ability to provide excellent patient care
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Experience in acute care settings is a plus
