We now offer many services including medical, dental, optometry, obstetrics and gynecology, behavioral health, imaging, and many other services.
Location: Boston for OB/GYN department
Available Shifts:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week

Essential Functions and Job Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, using medical assisting procedures as appropriate for a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic.
- Effectively maintains medical supply stock, cleanliness of work area.
- Provides phone support for general patient inquiries.
- Effectively communicates with patients, co-workers on medical team, in medical department and across all departments.
- Provides clerical support and administrative assistance as directed.
- Organize and prepares patient summary sheets and charts for daily clinic.
- Checks exam room prior to and after each patient encounter, restocking and cleaning as necessary.
- Directs patient flow.
- Obtains reason for visit
- Obtains and documents vital signs as appropriate per patient visit.
- Assists with patient care under the direction of appropriate medical provider, RN or LPN.
- Understands and maintains universal precautions in all clinical activities.
- Chaperone providers as needed during physical/pelvic exams as needed.
- Maintains equipment in good working order.
- Understands and performs autoclaving procedure for medical equipment.
- Performs eye exams, otology exam as indicated.
- Completes referrals to outside agencies when indicated.
- Attends and participates in regularly scheduled general staff meetings.
- Assists in training other employees in the medical support department.
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of South Cove Community Health services, policies and procedures.
- Vaccine administration and IM Injections (formal training).
- Familiar with emergency codes.
· Demonstrates competency in alphabetizing, filing faxing and other duties to support administrative office needs.
· Consistently demonstrates SCCHC’s mission and values statement.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin AND Cantonese), Vietnamese a plus
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Understanding of basic medical terminology
- Current CPR Certification
