Overview:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Implement behavior management techniques as needed
- Support individuals in community integration and participation
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs under supervision
- Assist with lifting and transferring individuals when necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other team members
Experience:
- Experience in caregiving or working in a nursing home setting is preferred
- Knowledge of long-term care practices and procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks
- Familiarity with working with people with autism spectrum disorder is a plus
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques
