Role and Responsibilities
· Assist and provide support to Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain on issues that require investigation, auditing, and corrective actions.
· Review incoming COAs (Certificate of Analysis) for raw materials in comparison to Supplier’s specifications. Communicate discrepancies to QA Manager.
· Review production and quality records to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality parameters, in compliance with HACCP Pre-shipment program.
· Maintain hold, release, rework product reporting. Update dispositioning and shelf-life extensions within MCF program.
· Assist in traceability effectiveness verification (mock recall) to reconcile all product manufactured.
· Support QA technicians in training tasks and providing first line of problem solving for daily issues.
· Coordinate and plan with warehouse and production personnel for any reconditioning, inspection, or transfer of finished product.
· When needed, assist in tracking/trending of Quality metrics including Customer Complaints, Sanitation, Sensory and other Continuous Improvement metrics.
· Act as back-up for QA Technicians as needed to perform product testing & review, HACCP/Quality checks, submit micro samples and submission forms, data entry, etc.
· Responsible for following all Food Safety policies, procedures and regulatory criterion including the current BRC code, Good Manufacturing Practices, and the HACCP Program and associated CCPs.
· Work closely with production and maintenance employees as needed to ensure Food Safety and Quality is maintained.
· Research and aid on miscellaneous information as requested by QA Manager. Performs facility inspections or other audit preparedness tasks.
· Other duties as needed as assigned by the QA Manager or Director.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Must be able to work in a cool to warm environment (0°F – 80°F) during an eight-hour shift.
Must be able to work in office, production, and warehouse setting.
Intermediate math and literacy skills (English).
Intermediate computer skills.
Intermediate QA and processing knowledge.
HACCP Training.
Allergen Training.
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Operational Sanitation Verification Training.

Pay: $20.13 - $24.24 per hour
