Summary: Responsible for assisting the quality manager and quality team in the management of the product quality.
Essential Functions
- Inspection and/or testing of incoming, in-process, and finished materials to specifications; by conducting visual and measurement tests.
- Participate in corrective action activities to improve overall quality.
- Perform line audits for product conformance to standard.
- Document inspection and audit findings in the appropriate systems.
- Perform tests on materials and components.
- Complete full dimensional checks and reporting for sample parts.
- Properly maintain measurement equipment
- Review and understand the requirements of the Quality Management System
- Use procedures, work instructions, and reference materials to ensure process quality.
- Provide feedback on possible improvements to processes and procedures.
- Assist in the evaluation of materials, including sort and rework.
- Remove and return components and/or finished goods from warehouse locations with use of fork truck or other material handling equipment.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and/or reading technical publications, as appropriate
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Good understanding of inspection techniques and use of measurement equipment
- Ability to read and understand drawings and perform physical dimensional measurements to ensure product is manufactured according to specifications.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Should be analytical and have good mathematics skills.
- Will work independently and should be able to manage time effectively to complete projects on time
Education Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent with at least 1+ year experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for the vast majority of the shift.
