Job Summary:
The Public Relations and Events Assistant will assist in overseeing the sample collection, navigating editorial, influencer and VIP dressing requests under the Sr. Manager, Public Relations. They will support the Fashion Communications department on all initiatives including special events and celebrity & influencer relations.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Sr. Manager, Public Relations to secure editorial, influencer and celebrity dressing, in addition to special events, by navigating day-to-day sample trafficking and gifting through Blue Cherry and partnership with Retail Boutiques and Sample Team (send outs and returns, image archives of send outs and returns, follow through with confirmations on deliveries).
- Ensure the department maintains a healthy packaging and supplies inventory for all day to day and project based and event gifting initiatives.
- Organize and execute gifting programs (presentation and delivery) and maintain updated budget
- Track and save editorial clippings, VIP/influencer photos, and earned social media communication and share through internal channels ie: email, Viva Engage and Teams as designated.
- Support reporting across all PR & events scopes in partnership with the CRM team.
- Submit PR & events-related invoices to accounting.
- Assist on VIP fittings for special events and press presentations.
- Support and partner with team on showroom appointments and press days for editors, celebrities, stylists, influencers and VIPs.
- Proactively service and respond to hi-res image and credit requests for editorial product placement.
- Develop relationships with stylist and editorial assistants.
- Update and track PR & event activity through Smartsheets (1) Event Calendar (2) Event Action Items (3) PR + Social Media Activations, as well as any additional event Smartsheets that are created. Manage up to ensure the team is on track & notified of all deadlines & deliverables.
- Support Sr. Director on all PRF’s for printed & digital assets used for advertising and events.
- Assist in executing event logistics: including planning tools, event supplies, and maintain vendor relations.
- Support on set-up, execution and cleanup of events.
- Act as a brand ambassadorat all times.
- Additional tasks as assigned. Position is required to be in office at minimum 4 days per week, additional as required by management with a standard 9am arrival time.
Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in PR and/or events
- Bachelor’s degree required

- Demonstrated ability to problem solve for tactical issues

- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Maintain a positive, enthusiastic and energetic demeanor which helps foster an upbeat working environment

- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Launchmetrics/Fashion GPS
Base Salary Range:
The base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, and location.
