Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Assistant Property Manager to join our boutique property management team. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing daily operations, tenant relations, and administrative tasks for a portfolio of commercial properties. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with seasoned professionals in a dynamic environment, focusing on maintaining high standards of property management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of day-to-day operations of commercial properties under the guidance of the Property Manager.
- Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs, ensuring smooth transitions and timely completion of all necessary paperwork and processes.
- Respond promptly to tenant inquiries, concerns, and requests, providing excellent customer service and fostering positive tenant relations.
- Conduct regular property inspections and maintenance assessments to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to coordinate repairs, maintenance, and improvements as needed.
- Assist in preparing and managing property budgets, including monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Maintain accurate records of property management activities, leases, and financial transactions using property management software.
- Support leasing efforts by showing available spaces to prospective tenants and assisting with lease administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial property management or related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio).
- Knowledge of lease agreements, property operations, and basic accounting principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Real Estate license (if required by state regulations) or willingness to obtain one
Working Conditions/Other Data
Part time - 10-20 hours per week to start, potential to transition to full time within 6 months.
Wednesday-Friday
Pay $25-$30, based on experience, DOE as contract employee.
Background check required.
