JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: RRS Logistics - RSIG
Department: Refugee Resettlement Services
Classification: Full-time/ Non-Exempt
Hours: Monday – Friday; every 3rd Saturday of the month
Reports to: Director of Refugee Resettlement Services/Assistant Director Education
Position Purpose:
The primary function is to provide transportation and direct services for all RSIG programs administered under the Refugee Resettlement Services department. In addition, provide RSIG vehicle fleet maintenance and coordinate logistics for RSIG donations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide transportation and direct services for all clients participating in RSIG programs. Activities include program events/sessions, intakes, medical visits, employment, school and any other applicable outing. This may require mornings, afternoons, and evening schedules. Flextime when needed. Coordination needed with applicable staff.
· Perform pre-travel inspections to remain in compliance with vehicle maintenance.
· Maintain cleanliness, sanitization, and other light maintenance in vehicles.
· Coordinate logistics of RSIG donations this includes donation pick-up and organization.
· Document transportation services provided for completion of client files.
· Other duties delegated by his/her supervisor that are relevant to her position.
· Set up vehicle records/files to include daily checklists, repairs, tags/registrations/insurance copies, and extra keys.
· Maintain a vehicle check-out calendar.
· Maintain a vehicle vendor list for a variety of repairs, vehicle signage, etc.
· Monitor vehicle maintenance and needs, both regular and unanticipated, to ensure efficient operation of transportation services – such as oil changes, weatherization, etc.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
● Proficient in English, encompassing speaking, reading, and writing skills.
● High School Diploma Required
● Demonstrate understanding of Refugees and Refugee Resettlement processes.
● Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
● Exceptional organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
● Proficient in written communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
● Display a proactive and positive work attitude.
● Exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and exhibit professionalism consistently.
● Capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
● Preferred experience in Case Management and Grant Management (not mandatory).
● Exhibits fairness, honesty, and open communication with colleagues.
● Effective time management and organizational abilities.
● Flexibility to participate in some evening and weekend activities, outings, and field trips.
● Valid Driver License.
● Must be able to provide transportation for clients as needed with agency vehicle.
● Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
