**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the procurement and purchasing processes to ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain.
**Responsibilities:**
- Work with Account Managers for material requirements and purchasing details
- Write PO’s to vendors
- Follow up on Purchase Orders were received and that deliveries will ship on time
- Resolve any paperwork issues (i.e. Packing slip errors, invoices, Material Certifications)
- Work with Receiving dept. to resolve any receiving issues
- Run planning reports (i.e. Supplier Delivery, PO Receiving, Material Planning)
- Maintain constant contact with suppliers and shipping companies while deliveries are in route
- Notify Account Management team in a timely manner if critical deliveries are going to be late and update notes in Job Boss
- Communicate with all involved personal critical customer delivery actions (i.e. Receiving, Quality, Assembly, Shipping)
- Work with suppliers to solve invoicing issues that could delay critical shipments
- Deliver all purchase orders to suppliers by email
- Participate in daily Account Management stand ups.
**Experience & SKills:**
- Knowledge and experience, in the manufacturing industry is desirable.
- Overall knowledge of company and client goals and mission
- Communication skills: must be excellent both written and oral. Must have the ability to effectively present information, respond and follow-up on questions and inquiries from clients, other managers and subordinates. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to establish and maintain goodwill with client(s)
- The ability to develop relationships with customers and supply base
- Results-oriented with proven ability to organize, prioritize, and plan work to meet deadlines; shows strong attention to detail in completing work
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills– proficient verbal and listening abilities with a diverse work team, customers, and coworkers
- Dependable, reliable, and consistent in dealing with daily challenges
- Highly committed, flexible, and resilient in overcoming obstacles and creating positive solutions
- Applies sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills to complex problems and business challenges; shows resilience and positive attitude in stressful situations
- Proficient at using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook, and Job Boss
- Demonstrates initiative, accuracy, and professionalism by producing quality work
