About our Congregation
St. Croix United Church was established in October 2023 as a merger of two historic congregations - People’s Congregational Church (Bayport) and St. Peter’s United Church of Christ (Stillwater). We were motivated by the opportunity to form a sustainable progressive Christian community in the St. Croix Valley in an era of decline in church vitality across denominations. Affiliated with both the United Church of Christ (UCC) and the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches (NACCC), we affirm persons of all ages in the fullness of their humanity, welcome questions and new ideas, and strive to support one another along a journey of faith in action.
