As our Food & Beverage Manager, you could be leading the charge to ensure our guests enjoy a truly memorable experience – whether they’ve worked up an appetite for a full conference banquet or are just joining us for their favorite beverage. The InterContinental Bellevue is looking for individuals who have a stellar knowledge of food & beverage, strong people-management and exceptional customer service skills, as well as a proven track record in high-volume concepts.
Our Food & Beverage Manager will oversee multiple outlets.
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Directing, coaching, and developing a team of committed hospitality professionals.
- Delivering exceptional guest and corporate experiences by setting high standards and finding new ways to exceed them.
- Managing food and beverage standards to deliver against our commitment to responsible business practices.
- Working closely with the Hotel and General Manager and finance team to set, monitor and refine budgets and drive revenue.
- Multitasking to oversee multiple food and beverage outlets, including Lobby Bar & Lounge, Restaurant, Banquet Events and 24 hour in-room dining facilities – as well as a number of managers and supervisors.
Duties include:

Motivating and managing a team of front and back of the house food and beverage.

Assisting with the budget, marketing plans and objectives and managing within those approved plans.

Implementing and maintaining F&B sales/marketing programs.

Directing and overseeing the development of employees.
-
Hiring, training, empowering, coaching and counseling, performance and salary reviews.

Directing the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for food and beverage operations.

Coordinating food and beverage operations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service.

Resolving customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.

Implementing procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction.
-
Exercising quality control for both food and beverage.

Maintaining standards of service and ensure their implementation.
-
Performing daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and brand standards.

Coaching and counseling employees to reflect brand service standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
What we need from you:
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.

3-5 years or more of progressive hotel Food and Beverage experience.
-
Previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred, but not required.

Service oriented style with professional presentations skills.
-
At least 3 years’ experience in a senior role in a food and beverage environment.

Proven leadership skills.

Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset.

Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line.

Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.

Experience implementing new F&B concepts.
The compensation range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000k/year + bonus incentive.
