Responsibilities
This position requires a solid work ethic and the ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. This position may be on first, second or third shift.
This position has the following specific responsibilities:
· Acid dipping, plating, chemical finishing, lacquering, stress relieving, rolling and/or other operations to protect, clean or enhance products.
o Learn how to perform all required duties to produce a variety of quality metal finishing operations while utilizing chemical and mechanical finishes.
· Locate physical jobs/customer POs on the floor and match to internal job order for processing
· Match internal documentation with customer documentation.
· Ensure customer’s parts are received in good quality
· Handle customer parts with care and process per customer specifications and internal control plans
· Follow detailed instructions to produce exact finishes as required by customer specifications
· Comprehend process/control plans to determine process type, load size, electrical current, and time required to complete the process within the specification
· Understand the process and criticality of proper cleaning and prepping methods
· Load and process jobs as stated on the control plan
· Control rectifier to adjust electrical current when necessary
· Adjust voltage and amperage based on observing process
· Check first load of every job to ensure process is producing good quality and meeting customer specifications
· Visually check the quality of the finished parts after every load
· Examine product to determine thickness and consistent coverage using X-Ray
· Rinse and dry product appropriately to maintain clean and even surface finish
· Unload finished work, document and deliver to quality or next workstation
· Maintain baths and monitor necessary chemical and metal adds as directed by supervisor
· Maintain chemicals in acids, cleaners and chemical finish baths with prescribed instructions to attain proper color, brightness and overall finish
· Replace damaged or worn equipment and remove plating buildup from danglers
· Notify supervisor of any abnormal or unusual conditions
· Understand the stripping process
· Take direction from VP Operations and Director Quality Production
· Perform other duties as necessary
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
