Position: Electrical Technician
Pay Rate: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
Summary: Responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation, and operation of electrical components throughout the hotel complex and outlying areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responds to customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Executes the installation of electrical panels and associated piping and wiring as directed.
- Assist the Convention Service department as required.
- Plans, directs, and records periodic electrical testing, and recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
- Assist Housekeeping department to resolve lighting problems as required.
- Conduct shop inventories as directed.
- Comply with established safety rules and health regulations of The BROADMOOR Hotel and Engineering department.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Colorado Driver’s License (45-day grace period from date of hire until applicant must have valid Colorado driver’s license.)
