The Role: We are looking to fill the Digital Strategist - Paid Social position. The ideal candidate has an interest in working in a flexible, fast-paced, start-up company that is centered around supporting their clients with expanding their reach and visibility. This candidate brings a perspective and outlook that supports the company and client's growth with initiative, leadership, attention to detail, and organization. The person in this role should be adept in digital platforms, a multi-hyphenate digital creative, and have an awareness of digital campaign development for various audiences. They should also be attuned to how brand stories come to life digitally and the best practices across various digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Make informed and strategic recommendations on implementing paid social media to achieve client goals and engage target audiences
- Fully develop, manage, and evaluate paid social media campaigns including but not limited to strategy, optimization, and analytics
- Support in researching and analyzing competitor landscapes and target audiences within the specific client industry as it relates to social media to successfully tailor ad content to convertible demographics
- Work collaboratively with the organic social media team to make strategic decisions such as integrating organic content into the paid strategy
- Help ensure a cohesive tone and voice across both organic and paid social media content Create compelling and engaging ad content by writing paid social media copy in conjunction with the organic social team and providing direction and guidance on Ad creative to the creative design team
- Utilize data, including from Thrive’s social media tool Emplifi, to analyze digital campaign outcomes, make data-driven decisions for optimization, and report on KPIs
- Develop and distribute weekly and monthly campaign performance reports
- Understand and follow project timelines and deadlines
- Participate in client and team creative brainstorms and meetings as it relates to the digital brand and campaign development
- Stay informed on new digital technologies, industry trends, algorithm changes, new features, and overall social media best practices to adapt strategies accordingly

Requirements & Skills
- Proven work experience as a digital strategist or social media manager with an emphasis on paid ads, reporting and analytics
- Thorough understanding of running social media ads on common social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Analytics, etc.)
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies to optimize ad performance and identify the most effective strategies
- Experience in managing advertising budgets effectively to maximize ROI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (internal and client-facing)
- Ability to effectively problem-solve and identify issues or challenges in campaigns and develop solutions to improve performance
- Social media copywriting skills
- Basic understanding of how social media advertising integrates with overall SEO and digital marketing strategies.
- Superior presentation skills
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
- Familiarity with project management tool ClickUp (or similar, Asana, Monday.com, etc.) is a plus
