Polsinelli, is seeking an IT Portfolio Coordinator. Reporting to the manager of the portfolio team with regular strategic interaction with the CIO, this role can be hired as remote or hybrid, provided the candidate is located in a state/jurisdiction wherein we practice.
Position Overview –
- This role is responsible for administering IT budgetary processes, developing IT communications translated to wide audiences, and coordinating IT staff training & development initiatives.
- The successful candidate will possess exemplary written and verbal communication skills, extraordinary attention to detail, insatiable curiosity, and a drive/desire to grow with our team.
Key Requirements –
- Experience interacting with and presenting to diverse audiences. This requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt communication style and content to different levels of seniority, backgrounds, perspectives, and technical competency.
- Knowledgeable of accounting practices, contract management, and tracking budget and expenses to ensure compliance with our financial processes/procedures.
- Capable of working with highly technical teams while translating to layman’s terms by collaborating with IT subject matter experts to understand complex technical concepts and communicating them clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Competencies –
- Proven capability to create detailed reports and graphical representations of data.
- Working knowledge and applied understanding of Project Management methodologies.
- Demonstrated success launching successful enterprise training and communications initiatives.
- Experience in budgetary ownership and identifying areas of risk and/or potential cost savings.
- Prior experience working in large legal and/or professional services firms.
Technical Requirements –
- 3+ years of demonstrated focus on one or more of the following: Creating and managing formal communication initiatives, definition and delivery of technical training programs, coordination and oversight of financial/budgetary processes, applied project management experience.
Immediate Goals –
- Establish rapport and strategic collaboration with direct manager and the CIO.
- Aide in the oversight of various budgetary processes such as contract management, storage of agreements/quotes/orders, ad-hoc licensing/procurement, and tracking over time.
- Take ownership of launching and maturing/managing the IT Lunch and Learn training initiative by working with key members in our organization to select topics, prep material, schedule sessions, facilitate leadership of the sessions with subject matter experts, and promote staff engagement.
Move Forward Goals –
- Optimize IT budgetary processes to ensure efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
- Enhance the IT communication strategy to increase awareness, engagement, and feedback from internal and external stakeholders by developing and implementing communication campaigns and initiatives, such as IT newsletters (next bullet point), webinars, surveys, and staff events.
- Define, draft, and launch IT newsletter coordinating with resources across technical teams collecting relevant items/themes, synthesizing informative updates to create engaging and educational newsletter content, and distributing to a variety of stakeholders in the firm.
- Expand on individual Lunch and Learn sessions to design and implement an IT training and development program that fosters a culture of learning, innovation, and collaboration by conducting training needs assessment, developing training curricula and materials, and delivering sessions in collaboration with IT leadership and both internal/external subject matter experts.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000.
