Control Systems Programmer
Reports To: AV Division Manager
Primary Function:
We are looking for programmers with experience in developing software in the following types of platforms: Crestron, AMX, QSC, Biamp, Extron, Lutron and others. Industry certifications from these manufacturers in addition to InfoComm certification (such as CTS) are recommended, but not required.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Control systems programming for platforms listed above.
- Write program specifications; create system/user documentation and instruction manuals.
- Coordinate commissioning of projects with project managers.
- Understand and meet all deadlines.
- Interact with Project Manager to achieve complete and functional program.
- Provide end user testing, training, and end to end system integration.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot system issues.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Experience in developing software in Crestron, AMX, QSC, Biamp, Extron, Lutron and other platforms.
- Preferred 2+ years of experience.
- InfoComm CTS certification a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication and teamwork skills. Willing to learn additional programming languages and platforms.
- Knowledge of C, C++, C#, HTML5 and others.
- Ability to work in a highly interactive environment.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies.
- Exceptional verbal and written skills and the ability to work with internal and external customers.
- Understanding of networking, infrastructure and network topology is required.
- System design and engineering experience.
- Biamp and QSC DSP programming experience gets additional preference.
