Description: This position will assist in technical aspects related to quality control, work processes, vendor development, customer needs, plant audits, and continues improvement.
As a Quality Engineer your responsibilities will be:
· Develop and execute the Quality Management Systems
· Implement quality system improvements.
· Challenge the status quo and recommend improvements.
· Lead process and test method validation activities, including writing protocols, executing, statistical analysis and reporting.
· Support internal quality programs, such as calibration, GMP, food safety, pest control, HACCP, audit processes, and documentation control.
· Track customer nonconformance issues and generate monthly reports.
· Perform analytical testing for customer non-conformance issues and work with vendor labs on outside testing.
· Identify projects to reduce or eliminate issues found in monthly quality reports and customer non-conformance issues.
· Ensure cleanliness and accuracy of documentation.
· Provide support for Production Managers to improve front line production team performance.
· Develop and provide one-on-one and small group training for raw materials and manufacturing processes.
· Must be able to perform tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
Education / Experience / Skills Required:
· Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or other closely related degree required.
· 3+ years Quality experience in manufacturing operations highly preferred.
· ASQ Quality Engineer certification (CQE) or equivalent a major plus.
· Six sigma and/or Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
· Possess advanced computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
· Demonstrated skills in organizing work, taking initiative, setting priorities and sound decision making.
· Possess logic, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills.
· Must have strong critical thinking ability.
· Strong Interpersonal, communication, coaching and conflict management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to work effectively in a team environment

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
