Job Summary
The customer service representative interacts with customers, brokers and regional managers to ensure expectations are met. The customer service representative is responsible to enter orders, ship product, reconcile order discrepancies, accurately and in a timely manner. The customer service representative acts as the point of contact with the client, coordinates with customer service manager and operations staff. You will be involved in the day to day clerical operations, billing, purchasing, shipping and receiving, inside sales and more, all while maintaining excellent- existing customer relationships.
Duties & Responsibilities
Essential
- Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft outlook, excel, word products as well as other programs including those customized at Oregon Potato Co. for order entry and production tracking purposes.
- Must work well in a collaborative and team oriented environment and demonstrate strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment as as exhibit strong interpersonal communication and creative problem solving skills.
- Assist customers and business partners via telephone and email.
- Confirm purchase orders are received and properly entered in Microsoft NAV
- Communicate any changes to customer purchase order i.e. date changes, shortage notifications.
- Confirm that orders are picked and shipped accordingly to customers expectations.
- Process the pick-up and product returns.
- Coordinate completion of necessary documents required for customer shipments i.e. documents needed thru USDA to export product into international regions, COA, specifications.
- Prepare and maintain accurate validation of customer deductions.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, employees and supervisors
- Handle customer complaints in a calm, professional manner

Education
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Essential
- Microsoft Office: 2 years (Required)
