Server/ Porter Position is a Dual position.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Server/Porter (dishwasher) to join our kitchen team. As a Server/Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining great guest service, cleanliness and organization of our establishment. Compensation: $13.00 to $14.00 per hour, Medical benefits available (see handbook if hired)
Full-Time hours: 1st shift 7:00 am to 2:00 pm then second shift 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Part-Time hours available 7:00 am to 12:30 pm or 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Responsibilities: This is dual position which you will be server and dishwasher.
You must speak, read and write perfect English for this position.
-Take orders, pour drinks, serve guests, clear/clean/reset tables, fill salt/pepper, sugar etc., prep salads, desserts, make coffee, iced tea, etc.
- Clean and sanitize all areas of the establishment, including coffee/dining areas and kitchen.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
-Dessert/Salad/Fruit preparation.
-Roll Flatware for both Hotel and Sunny Bird Dining Rooms.
- Sweep, mop, and dining room floors. as assigned by manager.
-Wash dishes, and put dishes away, as assigned by manager.
- Assist with food preparation, culinary tasks and prompt cleaning as you work.
- Set up dining areas for service and clean tables after guests have finished dining.
- Handle cash/tip transactions accurately and efficiently. Tipping at breakfast shift is shared with morning shift staff.
-Match server tickets with hotel guest breakfast tickets and turn them into front desk after each breakfast service.
- Manage guest seating.
- Provide exceptional customer service by smiling, have a great attitude, leave no guest waiting and promptly addressing guest inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when restocking is necessary.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role required.
- Strong time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
- Knowledge of food service procedures and culinary tasks.
Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 25 pounds.```
