ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Maintains financial records and general ledger data.
- Maintains accounts receivable, customer invoicing, and supporting documentation in accordance with contract requirements.
- Maintains fixed asset data including depreciation and accruals.
- Maintains accounts payable including approval and processing of vendor payments, accruing expenses, and account reconciliation.
- Review and approve electronic travel expenses.
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting.
- Work with operational program managers to provide financial/accounting data support related to job/project costs.
- Assist in the month-end financial reporting and closing process.
- Maintain data required for company KPIs.
- Analyze financial data and budget performance.
- Monitor budgets and indirect rate analyses.
- Identify risks and process improvement opportunities, and suggest solutions for improvements.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Responsibilities will vary depending upon experience.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as business administration, finance and accounting, and a minimum of three (3) years of general accounting experience.
Crucial to successfully executing the job duties of this position requires attention to detail; proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Word, PowerPoint, and other Cloud-Based Software applications. This position requires prior experience with Government contractors. Expert knowledge of advanced excel, macros, and pivot tables is preferred.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Position requires walking, sitting for extended periods, bending, stretching, and stooping. Repeated use of hands, fingers, wrists, and arms. Must be able to see up close as well as from afar. Job incumbent must also possess the ability to hear and communicate both verbally and in writing, in person and via telephone and electronic communications.
