Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description:
We are looking for a positive, dedicated and reliable Production Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will directly supervise 12-20 employees engaged in production, light assembly, packaging and shipping activities. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, training employees, meeting customer expectations, and promoting continuous improvement initiatives. Great communicator is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures, meeting customer expectations, and supporting and furthering Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Assist with the onboarding process of new hires, providing training, mentoring, and educational materials to staff.
- Conduct annual reviews to evaluate staff performance and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Enforce safety protocols including OSHA compliance, PPE enforcement, and machine guard usage.
- Monitor quality through periodic follow-up and work checks, answering any queries.
- Oversee work assignments and productivity including measuring performance, monitoring, and prioritizing workflow of production to meet deadlines, managing workflow, and scheduling staff.
- Handle documentation including work orders and bin cards, and monitor lunches and breaks.
- Act as a working supervisor, performing hands-on work as time permits.
- Collaborate with members of other disciplines including quality, scheduling, engineering, and maintenance.
- Balances safety, quality, productivity, cost, and morale to achieve results.
- Set positive examples for others to follow, particularly in terms of attendance and work ethic.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering preferred)
- Proven experience working in a production environment (3 years+)
- Experience with ISO, Lean Manufacturing (Medical/FDA/GMP a plus)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
- Sharp production focus with a drive for accurate results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution attributes
- Physical ability to sit, walk, and move around for long periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
