Night Shift
LPN Position Summary
A Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing basic medical attention to patients and assessing their wellbeing. Their duties include checking vital signs, recording a patient’s medical history, and often includes the following responsibilities:
· Direct the daily activities of the CNAs and ensure policies and procedures are followed by nursing personnel.
· Participate in admissions, discharges and transfers of residents as required.
· Assess resident’s conditions, prepare, and administer medications per physician orders.
· Initiate, review, and update care plans.
· Report any changes in a resident’s condition to the nurse supervisor and keep them informed of factors that interfere with being able to perform work as assigned.
· Perform other assigned duties given by clinical or administrative leadership.
· Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
LPN Requirements
· Current unrestricted LPN license in practicing state
· Current CPR/BLS Certification
