JOB TITLE: Proposal Development Specialist
ENTITY AND LOCATION: LTSi Corporate Staff, Remote (Candidate must live in the San Antonio or surrounding Metropolitan area.)
POSITION INFORMATION: This is a Corporate full-time, non-exempt position working remotely with normal hours of operation, Monday through Friday, from 0800 – 1700, excluding Federal Holidays. This is a work from home position with a maximum of 5 on-site meetings per month.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

Coordinate and support strategic company pursuits, including the development and production of proposals and presentations.

Perform detailed analyses of RFP, RFI, RFQ, or Task Order requirements.

Concept, develop, write, and submit proposals using knowledge of proposal best practices and procedures, and according to detailed specifications in the RFP, RFI, or RFQ.

Evaluate with leadership the specific requirements of a proposal request to determine feasibility.
- Review resumes and contact potential candidates to submit with the proposal if required by the RFP, RFI, RFQ, or Task Order.

Organize and coordinate proposal resources, including other departmental input or recommendations when required.

Research and compile information from both external and internal sources, including the Internet, intranet, previous proposals, templates, and other databases or sources.

Organize, facilitate, and document proposal review panels when needed or as directed incorporating changes resulting from the review.

Write persuasive Technical and Business submissions providing the specific information requested.

Develop and submit protests for any proposals rejected without reasonable cause.

Contact Government contracting offices to request sole-source awards for 8(a)-certified LTSi Joint Venture.

Coordinate meetings, calls, and communications between LTSi management and clients.

Archive proposal content by uploading it to the appropriate internal databases or servers according to standard operating procedures.

Provide input on the effectiveness of LTSi’s business plan, marketing strategy, and public relations strategy to analyze and provide recommendations.

Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, English, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience.

1 – 5 years of marketing and proposal writing and development experience for government contracts

Proficient use of Microsoft Office Applications (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)

Excellent organization skills and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently, as well as in team environments

Strong writing and editing skills – command of English grammar, composition, spelling, proofreading skills, and creative writing

Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues verbally, virtually, and in writing
