Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ECT Teacher who specializes in Behavioral Challenges and Classroom Management to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 8 years and a strong background in behavior management techniques and extensive Classroom Management Ideas. This role is vital in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can grow and develop. Additionally, the selected candidate will serve as a training coach across our three centers, sharing expertise and best practices with fellow educators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Child Development and Care: Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development.
- Monitor and assess each child's development and communicate regularly with teachers and management about their child's progress and needs.
- Behavior Management: Utilize effective behavior management techniques to address and resolve challenging behaviors.
- Develop and implement individualized behavior management plans as needed.
- Promote positive behavior through reinforcement, modeling, and consistent routines.
- Activities Planning and Implementation: Develop and execute lesson plans that align with developmental goals and the curriculum standards of the organization.
- Incorporate a variety of educational techniques (e.g., storytelling, educational play, arts and crafts) to engage children in learning.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a well managed and organized classroom environment.
- Ensure the health and safety of children at all times, adhering to all licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Manage classroom resources and materials effectively.
- Parent and Family Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and involvement.
- Provide guidance and support to families regarding child development and behavior management.
- Organize and participate in parent-teacher meetings and events.
- Professional Development: Stay current with the latest developments in early childhood education and behavior management techniques.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities provided by the organization.
- Training and Coaching: Serve as a training coach across our three centers, providing guidance and support to other teachers.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions on behavior management techniques and best practices in early childhood education.
- Mentor new and existing staff to enhance their skills and professional growth.
Qualifications:
Education: Preferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
Experience: Experience working with children of various ages in a child care or educational setting.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and practices.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and families.
- Creative, energetic, and patient.
- Experience in training and mentoring staff is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit on the floor and interact with children at their level.
Capacity to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
