Legal File Clerk -- No Agencies -- Some Law Firm Experience REQUIRED
Responsibilities:
- Files and organizes legal documents and correspondence in physical and/or electronic formats. Performs printing projects and bates stamping
- Collects, labels, and organizes office documents, reports, and confidential records, including encrypted documents and email correspondence
- Monitors and manages office supplies and inventory
- Maintains and orders office supplies as needed
- Provides general administrative support, such as photocopying and scanning documents
- Responds and answers phone calls and emails regarding documents in a timely manner
- Coordinates with IT to help resolve tech issues with computers, printers, scanners, and other office equipment
- Calls for maintenance and repairs of various office equipment as needed
- Sorts and delivers incoming mail and collects and sends outgoing mail/FedEx/packages
- Makes logistical arrangements for office meetings
- Monitors and maintains general facilities such as conference rooms and kitchen areas
Skills:
- 1+ year law firm file clerk experience required
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficient knowledge of Firm legal software systems, such as iCreate, NetDocs, Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to balance and meet competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
