Job description
The ideal candidate will oversee projects from bidding to execution. You will work with senior management and act as the point of contact for NYC Construction Authorities clients.
Responsibilities
- Contract Negotiations, prepared sub-contracts, submit & approve payment applications on a monthly basis.
- Review contract documents & ensure compliance with project specifications & local codes & regulations.
- Preparing master project schedules & monitor overall projects progress for completion in timely manner.
- Negotiate change order with owner’s representatives and working sub-contractors.
- Supervise project superintendents; perform progress meeting with staff for projects & problems discussions.
- Plan & create work strategy to meet the client’s requirement in satisfactory conditions in all means.
- Attend meetings with the design team, clients, and working sub-contractors & vendors.
- Review structural and architectural drawings, project specifications.
- Prepare master project schedule, major activities durations, List of materials, vendors, and submittals.
- Coordinate the work tasks between the different working primes and personnel.
- Prepare technical reports and safety reports for safe construction process per OSHA regulations.
- Prepare payment applications and change orders.
- Supervised superintendents & Sub-Contractors, Quality control, Field measurements, Scheduling.
- Shop Drawings review & Buyouts.
- Prepare pencil copies, Payment Requisitions, Change Orders requests.
- Quantity take-offs, Cost breakdowns & overall construction cost for public & private authorities.
- Read & analyze blueprints, collecting quotations from Sub-Contractor, Preparing bid proposal.
Qualifications
- Bachelor and/or Master's Degree in Construction/Civil or Architercural Engineering
- 5+ years of experience
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Industry knowledge and ability to read blueprints
- Detail-oriented and strong communication skills
