We are currently looking for an individual to join our team as a Spray Technician. The ideal candidate will be expected to apply fertilizers and chemicals to grass areas to enhance plant growth and control weeds and pests.
Job Responsibilties
- Setting up and operating hand and power equipment to spray, and/or spread various chemicals and fertilizers.
- Maintaining records on chemical application activities in compliance with state and federal regulations, including inventories and Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Maintaining work area, chemical storage area, and equipment in a condition that promotes accurate applications and good safety practices.
- Scheduling and coordinating regularly scheduled pest control activities and responding to issues as they arise.
- Assisting in training grounds staff in pest and weed control safety and in fertilizer use applications.
- Installing, adjusting, and performing minor repairs on application equipment and sending out for service, as required.
- Acquiring and storing pesticide solutions; mixing or diluting specified chemicals or materials according to directions and applying them at the recommended rate.
- Instructing helpers, as required, in applying sprays and other materials.
- Inspecting outdoor areas and recommending necessary treatments.
- Must be willing to work weekends as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge of chemical application regulations and techniques.
- Herbicide Application and Equipment-2 years experience required
- Understanding of turf pests and common weeds.
- Possession of a current driver’s license upon employment.
- Must be able to pass a background, drug screen and MVR, check.
- Needs to be familiar with commercial lawn and maintenance equipment.
- Minimum 1-3 years + experience in Lawn Maintenance
Excellent communication skills - - Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

- Ability to work some weekends/evenings and in inclement weather.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the position including regularly lifting up to 80 pounds, standing, walking, crouching, stoop/kneeling, and reaching with hands and arms.

Compensation
- Hourly pay rate of $18.00 - $23.00 based on experience.
